You must accept the Visual Studio Software License Agreement.Double-click the big Install Visual Studio for Mac.app icon to launch the installer. Once you have downloaded the VisualStudioForMacInstaller.dmg, double-click it to mount the disk image. Visual Studio for Mac uses an Installer app, which downloads and installs the components that you select. These steps - or very similar ones - should work in Visual Studio 2019 as well. That's how you Uninstall Rhinoceros 5 from Mac, if you ever need to completely remove it from your machine. This guide is authored using Visual Studio 2022. This one is called Just right click and Move to Trash. Last, but not least, it's under Preferences. There it is, just right click, Move to Trash. Click on Go, and again, we're looking for Application Support. That takes me to the Library folder that's in my Home directory. That's just a short cut for my Home folder. The easiest way to get there is to click Go, select Go to Folder, and we can just type this in directly. A couple other files we're looking for are actually in the Library folder not on the startup disk, but in my user's Home folder. You may be prompted for an admin password. Again, I just want to delete this whole folder, so right click, Move to Trash. I'm looking for a folder called McNeel and there it is. I know, on my machine, MacIntosh HD is the startup disk. The first is in my Library folder, on the Startup disk. Then there's a couple other files we need to delete. To do that I'll just right click, and say Move to Trash. The first step for Uninstalling is to remove Rhinoceros from the Applications folder. I'm going to go ahead and quit out of Rhino, here. Let's also take a look at how you would Uninstall, just in case you ever needed to. Now, that's how you download and install Rhino 5 for Mac. Again, I just get these options to either buy a full license, enter a new license, get a license from the zoo, that's the network server, or to just run Rhino. Now, this is the license dialogue I'll normally see, as long as I'm using the trial version of Rhino. I'll also need to type in an admin password to finalize those license changes. If your organization has a network license for Rhino, you would set it up under the Network Node and just paste in the address to the license server. This allows me to set up a Standalone Node. Type in my name, organization, and now I'm going to just paste in my license key that came in the email from McNeel. At this point, you might be tempted to hit Evaluate, but don't do that because remember, we got a license key in that email from Rhino that came along with the download link. Now, of course you can buy a license if you want. I have the option to Buy a License, Enter a License, Evaluate or Quit. Now, the very first time we run Rhino, we'll see this license dialogue. Since this is the first time I'm opening Rhino, OS X is warning me that Rhinoceros is an application I downloaded from the Internet and just making sure I want to open it, and I do so i'll click Open. Then, all I need to do is double click to launch. Now, if we navigate to the Applications folder, I'll just click Go, Applications, and Finder. I'll go ahead and close out of the installer. That just copies Rhinoceros from the disk image to my computer. All I need to do is click and drag this Rhinoceros file and drop it in my Applications folder. To start, I'll just double click on the dmg, and this launches the installer. That's the installer, and at the time of this recording, 5.0.2 is the most current version. In my Downloads folder, I have Rhinoceros_5.0.2.dmg. We'll use that later as we activate the trial license. I went ahead and clicked on the download link and copied the license key that was sent along with it. I'll wait a few minutes for those to come through. Then I see this yellow notification at the bottom here, telling me that a download link and a license key have been sent to my email. Here, I'm prompted to enter an email address. What we really want, is this Rhino 5 for Mac. If you're interested in that, check that out. Just one quick aside, in addition to the full version of Rhino for Mac, there's also an IOS app that lets you view Rhino files on your iPad or your iPhone. Obviously, that's not what we're interested in today. I'll go ahead and click on this download link. The first step is to launch a web browser and navigate to /mac. Let's take a look at downloading and installing Rhino 5 for Mac.
